OUR Goals
#Promtoo is a charity ball organized by students to raise money to benefit Favor House Pensacola and RAINN ( Rape, Abuse, Incest, National Network). We also aim to raise awareness about sexual assault in high school, and sexual assault in general.
We want to send a message of hope, growth, and love. Providing a safe, warm, venue for fellow students who feel uncomfortable attending their own prom for any reason what, so ever.
The Inspiration
Prom is a big night for many teen's lives, however the night can be built up around big expectations, which can cause dangerous situations.
The #Promtoo name was inspired by the #metoo movement, to express that sexual assault can, and does happen for students on nights such as prom. This event was inspired by the darkness of trauma but aims to bring light and hope through awareness and support.
